This antenna made all the difference when I replaced it with the antenna that came with my (standard) ublock-6m GPS module. This is an ACTIVE antenna measuring approximately 1.125 inches. It comes with an IPEX connector. It is very important to know whether your GPS module requires an active or passive antenna. They are NOT interchangeable. The antenna "works" technically by itself. , but for best performance place it on a small ground plane (a piece of metal about 3 inches square makes a big difference in performance. The ground plane works best when it is in contact with the metal housing on the back of the antenna module i can easily track 8-10 satellites when I'm indoors away from windows (wood frame house) It works without grounding but I only get 3-5 satellites and it takes longer to get the first lock if you use this exclusively outside, You could probably do without a ground plane.The antenna that came with my GPS module was a joke, about 1/2 square and I could barely get 3-4 satellites OUTSIDE So if you're having trouble with your GPS module , maybe this antenna will help you.
