Review on YAKELUS Russian Nesting Matryoshka Handmade1051 by Jason Wesley

I bought these because my local granddaughter has always loved my matryoshka dolls and I wanted one for my distant granddaughter 2 years old but the very small ones want to put aside those that may pose a choking hazard. I like different colors for each size, which is partly why I chose this set. First, I would like to point out the positives: they are easy to open and hold together, and they are beautiful. However the color feels chalky and I kind of hate the way it looks unlike all the other kits I have that have a polyester finish. The most important thing is that they are made in China so I'm not sure if the color is safe for small children. I haven't decided yet if I'll keep them.
