$100 Noise Canceling Headphones

As far as noise cancellation goes, it's crazy. It's surreal how they completely isolate you from the outside world, it's almost like astronauts feel in space. I remember the same feeling with the QC15 headphones when I first tried them and they are even more special because they are in-ear headphones. I sent them back because the package arrived and it seems someone tried them, sent them back and left some signs of wear. However, it's incredible, but I personally can't justify its cost and the benefit I would get from it. I also can't justify buying headphones with a battery that doesn't have an estimated lifespan and no way to replace it yourself. The battery isn't worth 1/3 the price, so Bose shouldn't be charging $99 for a replacement. I believe that the future for this type of headphones lies in wiring that is not fixed. A battery, even small, that stretches and bends when the device is removed from a pocket/bag puts stress on the cables. Instead, they should have breakers like IEMs so the battery can be removed and replaced if necessary. Otherwise the headphones don't sound amazing, they are balanced, but nothing special. I think these are $100 headphones with amazing noise canceling. When you travel, especially on planes, they are great and help you relax and take your mind off the constant noise. Pay for. The silicone tips and extension are great, they almost make you forget you're wearing them, but real headphones stick out quite a bit so tilting your head to the side can be uncomfortable. If Bose really used higher quality materials and created a believable battery solution, it would be easier to buy for those who don't just buy them for travel.

Cons
  • Good, but not great
