I've played around with electronics a lot. For decades I've relied on my trusty 10x loupe to check part numbers, color codes, solder joints, etc. Trust me when I say this digital microscope is the best yet. Spring. 10x eye magnifier. No more squinting. No more trying to position an object directly under a table lamp. This area just works. Being able to take a photo of an image for later reference or documentation is just the icing on the cake. If I had one complaint, it would be that the adjustable focal length isn't optimal. I quickly found that I needed a wider field of view - the lens allowed it, but the vertical movement peaked too soon. I solved this problem by designing and 3D printing an 87mm spacer and buying two 100mm screws to remove the mount from the plate just enough to take full advantage of the lens' full focus range. By no means a necessary conversion, but worthwhile if you have the means and the desire to do so.
