Every cut leaves a deep mark that can be seen and felt. I was so surprised that I went back to the item's description to make sure it was indeed a self-healing mat. I've never had such a terrible haircut. I usually use the cheap ones and they all work much better. I was so happy when I got this as a gift. I've wanted one for a long time and they want Fiskars to make such good products. Nice that it folds in the middle. I've argued about giving it two stars for that reason, but if it can't perform the most basic function it's supposed to do, then what's the point? I've been wearing it for a week now and it looks and feels terrible. Don't waste money. I would like better photos of them.
