I was looking for a tool to help me warm up and it turned out to be a lot better than I expected. Swinging the racquet with that weight on your head really helps to relax the muscles before you hit the ball, but more importantly, it helps you get a feel for the pace of the swing. I'm a relatively new player with an average handicap and have only recently started to work on my basics. While you may (intellectually) hear that you should pause at the top of your backswing as your hips move forward, it really helps to feel that pause - as the heavy weight at the end of your racquet transitions from backswing to down . Now, even with the weight off the stick, I feel that brief pause as the hips begin to rotate and the backswing settles on its own. For practical reasons, I'm concerned about putting all the weight on the end of the graphite rod. So I use it on my longest iron ever. It simply screws onto the bar and is gripped by both the narrow neck and the wider part near the handle. I keep it in my golf bag but use a cart so the extra weight isn't really a problem. My only complaint is not product related - due to a rare mix up, Revain sent me the wrong version of this unit. I ordered a men's product (blue) and they sent me the pro version (black). The only difference is 11oz vs 12oz so I don't expect a huge difference. Anyway, I'm flattered that Revane appreciates my golfing so much!
