The lights themselves are amazing once installed. The low voltage transformer it came with is a joke; why you would not make waterproof is beyond me as these are intended for an outdoor installation. Also, they make clips that make the installation super easy. The included electrical tape is pretty low quality, but I used it to secure the exposed ends of the cable regardless.So I guess in that regard, it would be much more cost effective to buy the lights themselves and the above items separately instead of this kit.The lights are a warm white and are not overwhelmingly bright which works great for my garden as I have neighbors on both sides. They are pretty bright though, I would feel a bit uncomfortable using them without having a fence to block most of the light (as they would illuminate the exterior of my neighbor's houses). They seem to be high quality and have easily withstood a hail storm and some torrential downpours.
