Poor Quality Control

First I would like to say that this board arrives fairly quickly, but there is no quality control when it is assembled. The board is well thought out for its function. The connection between the Nano board is seamless, meaning that the SIP connectors are well aligned and not tilted to one side or the other and appear to be firmly attached to the board. I would have preferred the board lengthened to accommodate four mounting holes at the corners rather than two midway between the SIP connectors and under the Nano board. This brings with it two problems. 1) The entire board can twist on the standoffs when the Nano is inserted, which can cause the board to tear around the mounting holes, and 2) because the mounting holes are underneath the Nano board when it is installed , the adapter board cannot be mounted on stands with the Nano board installed, allowing for an additional (1) point. The green plugs bother me the most. When installed or mounted on a PCB they shouldn't be smiling like in the first picture! This is either due to the connector detaching from the board during the soldering process or poor quality connectors. I didn't unplug the connector to determine if the connector was potted or just poor soldering technique. In any case, the board did not have to pass any quality control. The board itself seems to be of good quality, well laid out, well stenciled (however the marking on the outside of the board is hard to read as it is under the contact terminals), both sides are masked by soldering, which is something that happens with such a board with a minimum component spacing of 100 mil is not actually necessary but is useful when going through the wave soldering process. However, the board should do what it is designed to do. in occasional service. I do not recommend them for rough use due to a lack of suitable attachment points.
