Used on business trip. One of the patches holding the straps started tearing in the middle of our trip. We added extra ties to put the top back on after the tear. This did not affect the water resistance. This top carrier has already withstood several strong storms! We drove through the downpour and had to stop because we couldn't see the road. He went through a storm with hail and more rain. I swear the rain and the storm moved as we did. It has rained almost every day since our 6 day trip. I was nervous because our clothes got wet. It was dry. I didn't even notice condensation in the bag. The bag was replaced due to a broken strap. I considered other options but didn't want my stuff to get wet on the way home. I ordered the same bag as a replacement.
