Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Ultimate Heavy Duty CyclingDeal Bicycle Bike Rack: Truck Bed/Ute Fork Mount - Quick Release or 15 x 100mm/20 x 110mm by Jason Carranza

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The weld broke after two and six weeks of only light use.

I attached two of these to the logs and tied them to the top of the truck. They're not very thick metal, and the weld between part of the barrel and the flange is just a couple of thumbtacks. One only lasted two weeks, the other lasted about six weeks, they still hold the bikes but they wobble and creak and the flange bends. Also, the metal is soft enough that the screws holding them will gnaw through the pre-drilled holes. They're fine for light-duty applications when you might just want to take a day trip, but if you're going cross-country, on a long hike, or on rough roads I wouldn't recommend them and would consider using bolts and washers instead of screws, although the profile of the hole suggests the use of screws.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Almost ok
