I love these things

As a hobby mechanic without a welder, I would rather mend the rusted holes in my exhaust system and then it'll be good for a few more years. A piece of pipe or adapter and a band clamp will do. Every muffler shop I go to says they don't patch and don't weld me; You always want to replace the whole system! Now there are no landfills or vocational schools. Unlike when I was younger, there were many junkyards where I could buy parts and many people learned how to weld at the store.
