I installed a direct fit muffler on my 2013 Ram 1500. This gave enough coverage to prevent exhaust leaks. I've been wearing them for 2 months now and so far so good! I wasn't sure I wanted to spend money on these clamps but I'm glad I bought them. They were perfect for connecting two pipes in my exhaust system. For my application, I purchased a length of 1 3/4 OD tubing that I cut down to four inches to fit the flared end of my Cat converter. The converter tube had over two inches sticking out, allowing me to slip a 1 3/4 ID flexible exhaust over the cut tube. The outside diameter of the spiral tube was the same diameter as the flared end of the other tube.
