Review on Perplexus Epic: Conquer the Challenge of Interactive Obstacles! by Patrick Carlson

Very Frustrating - Games and Accessories

This Perplexus is the worst Perplexus toy we've tried. This is very frustrating. Heavier and more difficult to maneuver. We have a Confusion Rookie (Rebel), an Original (Beast), and an Epic. All of this is easy to hold and move. Due to the batteries and the motor, it is less comfortable to hold. Also, the ball sometimes gets stuck and instead of tapping lightly like other toys, you really need to push it. This causes the ball to bounce off and hit a completely different part of the lane. So the game boils down to how to get the ball to the next point without falling into the hole. Instead of trying to follow the path and reach the end. With other Perplexus toys, it's very obvious that if you make a mistake, you'll fall and have to start over. With this one you simply avoid falling into the holes. Also, I walked for 5 minutes while my niece was playing with it and the ball got stuck and I had to take it myself to get it out. I have a feeling the original Perplexus designer retired and some marketing guy said we can just make it work!
