Good converter replacement, no studs

After over 200,000 miles, one of Die Original catalytic converters in cars just stopped doing their job. After failing an emissions test because of him, it was time for a replacement. The job wasn't exactly easy due to the narrow crevices in the engine compartment, but this converter does what it's supposed to and eliminates exhaust problems. The included rivets are a bit fancy and I deduct 1 star for that. Rather than having an unthreaded portion to allow them to be inserted into the converter flange, they are fully threaded. This means that when you try to put the nuts back on, the entire bolt turns. This is especially problematic when using self-locking manifold nuts. To save myself the hassle and frustration I used my MIG welder to nail the studs to the flange. For those who don't have a welder or other way to keep the new studs from simply turning, consider using other studs such as the Dorman 03400 Exhaust Flange Hardware Kit. Also the overall size of this converter is smaller than the original Honda. unit revolution. It's the same overall length, so everything fits together just right, but the body diameter isn't that big. This simply means that there is a little more space between the converter and the heat shield, but this is not a problem.

Pros
  • STRAIGHT STAND DESIGN - Direct bolt-on replacement solution with OE style hangers, brackets, rails and heat shields for easy installation that requires no special fabrication and/or welding
Cons
  • Interval
