We have a Breville BES870XL express machine. Using the grinder was a chore as the ground coffee kept overflowing through the port filter and making a mess. I pushed hard on the shock and tried to get the puck downhill so we could do a downhill kill with the car. Often the pressure on the extraction scale was low and we would have had an insufficient extraction. We went up and down the grinder dial and up and down the weight dial trying to find the exact mix to get a decent hit, all to no avail. Tired of the coffee grinder clutter, I did a little research and found this amazing gadget. I believed in this product from the first use. Coffee grounds no longer ran down the sides of the port filter making a mess and I was able to gently press the grounds down and get the perfect shot out of the coffee maker. This little device saves us from wasted coffee grounds. the time it took to clean up the mess of spilled coffee grounds so we could get the perfect shot of espresso.
