Review on πŸ”‹ Efficient and Portable: Unveiling the WELLER BP865MP Battery Soldering Iron by Buddy Colbert

DOES NOT PRODUCE ENOUGH HEAT TO WORK!

I have probably 4 soldering irons and weller guns that work great and have always had. However, they all have one thing in common: they all plug into a socket. This battery powered soldering iron barely heats up to melt the included thin solder roll. I even checked the batteries and they were all fine. I know you get what you pay for and I didn't have high hopes for this product. All I needed was a few quick solder joints for a very easy repair. So when I used it in the field (where I had no power) to solder two fine wires together, I experienced something that had never happened before. for all the years I have been soldering (over 50 years). Not only could I not melt the solder on my tiny joint, but the SOLDER TIP REALLY STUCK TO THE WIRE! I managed to solder the hot tip of the iron to the wire! IF you've ever soldered, you know how shocking it can be. I don't think I had a bad block. I just think he's not strong enough to do EVERY job. So I don't quite understand the reviewers who say it works well. Weller needs to save his good name from such a bad product.
