The USB 3 connection on my motherboard was unstable so got this to see if things can be improved. Well it worked great and although it has 3 outlets I also connected a 3 port hub to it. The fact that it can be powered by connecting to an AC adapter makes it even better! It's just a shame that you actually need an internal USB 3 cable to connect to the internal connection. After cutting and soldering, I found that USB-3 cables are MUCH different internally than USB2 cables. Anyway, I now have an active USB2 front port that works fine through this card.
