Fantastic cylinder for re-keying old sliding glass doors

I needed a key for all the locks in my house. The problem was I had 2 old sliding glass doors in the back of the house that had old cylinders "I don't know what brand of key was used" and I needed new Schlage-like cylinders to get my new key from the Schlage- to fit entrance . . They worked great and fit perfectly. Each set contains 2 keys. But be CAREFUL which model you buy. "E 2104" kits come with "same keys" according to the manufacturer, meaning if you bought 2 or 10 cylinders all cylinders will be delivered to you with the same key. If you buy the "E 2103" kit, then, most likely, other keys are used. Here are the features. They are similar to Schlage but not exactly Schlage. That means they have the same grooves in the key but are slightly narrower than a real Schlage key. Also, they will fit the new Schlage cylinder latch or door knob that you would buy at a hardware store BUT the Schlage key that came with the door knob or latch from the hardware store will NOT fit this new prime line. Cylinder because these keys are too wide. I hope that makes sense. So what you need to do after installing your new prime line sliding door cylinders is reinstall your hardware store (front door) cylinders to match your prime line cylinders if you want all the locks in your house are the same . . I did that, now all locks are the same. Hope these tips help! Happy locksmith work!
