Review on Enhanced SEO: Earthquake Sound FF6.5 6.5-Inch Front Firing Subwoofer by Esvin Hopuhnopuhlis

Efficiency before size.

How do I start? Let me start with the technology offered in this product. This Earthquake FF6.5 is an impeccable example of audio engineering, fine tuning and care for the finished product. Let's start with the body. What you have in the 6.5-inch model is unlike what other manufacturers offer. 3/4" and 1/2" MDF. Integrating this technology into a home theater offering is an incredibly smart decision. Why? Bass performance and fidelity are greatly improved, making this subwoofer not only loud, but INCREDIBLY efficient and accurate. Quarter-wave transmission-line enclosures, if manufactured properly, can use a smaller driver (subwoofer) and compare them in SPL to larger subwoofers with traditional ported or closed-box designs. This means that if you want the true output level of a 10" subwoofer, but want to save space without sacrificing anything, this is the place for you. This enclosure is built in such a way that the air pressure generated by the subwoofer acts as an efficient cooling system for the amplifier This allows the amplifier to be hidden inside instead of sticking out at the back of the cabinet = more space! Second, the subwoofer itself. This technology forces air through holes in the convex backplate, through the voice coil, and out again with each cycle, allowing the subwoofer to play at high levels for extended periods while remaining cool, thus maintaining constant RMS performance. The linear mechanical X -Max (the distance the cone can travel from front to back) is a whopping 2 inches! That's an incredible range from such a small rider! If I When I say that this subwoofer achieves the performance of a conventional 10-inch subwoofer, I am not exaggerating. The voice coil and motor assembly are modeled after Earthquake's MiniMe series, borrowing some concepts from their Magma subwoofers. Third. Add this package to an extremely efficient Earthquake A/B class digital amplifier, amazing X-Over controls and 180 degree phase switching and you have something no other company can offer at this price point. This amplifier delivers 100W RMS power at 150W peak power, ensuring consistently high power output while listening to music or watching movies. the genius of this man in sound engineering. As an audiophile, I really admire the level of craftsmanship and technology that he puts into his products. Most people who bought this don't really know what they have. Advice; When purchasing this subwoofer allow a reasonable 1 week break-in period to test the cross and motor assembly before lifting it very high. When subwoofers are delivered to you new from the factory, the spider will be very stiff and have very little play. If you wear them properly, they will loosen which can increase sound reproduction in SPL and accuracy/sensitivity. Switching on a new subwoofer, fresh out of the gate, stresses the stiff cross and can break the seal between the cross and the speaker cone = defective subwoofer. Maintain max volume at around 65% for 4-7 days. Advice on the correct use of this subwoofer. This subwoofer is designed for use in rooms no larger than 12" x 12" x 8" or similar. I noticed a bad review from the gentleman who put this in the kitchen. This is a misapplication of this product. Most kitchens have an "open space" design. In a large open space like a kitchen, you lose sound pressure level (SPL), resulting in flat bass response. This is a product designed for home theater in the bedroom where sound pressure is limited (door and window closed). Another reviewer mentioned a "humming" noise from their subwoofer, which is due to the poor RCA line out. Conventional cheap RCA line cables are not shielded. Because they are unshielded, they can pick up EMI signals from other cables, power adapters, antennas, etc. Using shielded high quality cable is very helpful. I use what is called a "power conditioner" for all my audio and video equipment. This reduces or eliminates noise, voltage fluctuations, over-voltage and component damage due to brown/black outputs. If you value a balanced audio system and are looking for a 10-inch or smaller subwoofer, give this 6.5-inch subwoofer serious consideration. Many people are afraid to buy 6.5 inch subwoofers because they fear they will perform poorly. Don't worry about this subwoofer size, the technology rivals 10 inch subwoofers.
