Good balance for existing speakers. Don't clutter up the space.

I bought this speaker to go with my Mackie CR4 studio monitors that I use on my desktop computer. I think it fits perfectly! Not overloaded, CR4 balances very well. It's also true to size and fits nicely under a desk next to a tower computer. A NOTICE. I am using this setup in a 300 square foot room with carpet flooring and a vaulted ceiling. I seriously doubt the same results will be achieved in a hard floor room.

  • Automatic signal detection circuitry

Big and loud, good for speakers

Good looking construction. The controls and ports worked as advertised. It was more than I expected despite checking the measurements. The sound was too loud and loose for my application. I had to turn the volume down just above minimum to mix the bass with what was coming out of my other speakers. A good choice when you really want to "feel" the bass. If you want to hear the sound that's out there, you might want something with a thicker sound and a sealed enclosure.

Pros
  • 150 watt high efficiency AB class amplifier
Cons
  • Available in white only

I use this subwoofer in my 2.1 stereo listening room which already has a 10" clip (behind my bed) and a 4x4" Dayton Sound subwoofer (under my desk) which I use for movies. I also have a 12" Klipsch subwoofer in my living room. I love bass but have limited space, so this subwoofer is perfect for that situation. I would compare this sub to the little guy in high school who only fights against wanted to prove the big boys and no matter what was thrown at him he always seemed to stick with it and…

Little beast! for subwoofer

Set up a small 5.1 system in a 10x10 office and it fits. I originally started out with the Monoprice 8248 8-inch subwoofer, which sounded much better than what was being offered for its $50 price tag, but had issues with background noise and an auto-on feature that turned the subwoofer on and off intermittently turned off unless the volume was turned up low. was looking for a lot of compact subwoofers and wanted something that would fit in the bottom of a table cart so it wouldn't get in the…

Efficiency before size.

How do I start? Let me start with the technology offered in this product. This Earthquake FF6.5 is an impeccable example of audio engineering, fine tuning and care for the finished product. Let's start with the body. What you have in the 6.5-inch model is unlike what other manufacturers offer. 3/4" and 1/2" MDF. Integrating this technology into a home theater offering is an incredibly smart decision. Why? Bass performance and fidelity are greatly improved, making this subwoofer not only loud…
