Review on 🔧 Gates PowerGrip Premium TCKWP143 Timing Belt Component Kit with Water Pump by Jeff Bundrick

Gates is a good belt. Made in the USA. Gates Unitta makes dealer belts for Honda which I suspect are slightly better (made in Japan). But the belt is not the problem. This water pump is MADE IN CHINA and the tensioner is made in Korea. In general, Korean products are pretty good, but the most important part here is the bearing, which MUST be made in Japan. Never again a cheap MADE IN CHINA water pump. I just had a brand new (not refurbished) AC compressor from China less than 3 years old. Professionally installed. I knew better and they tried to warn me. I've learned my lesson, if you want to repurchase parts and get the job done AGAIN, buy this MADE IN CHINA water pump kit and see how it works for you. I hope you don't bend the valves and have to rebuild the engine. Shame on you Gates, a good company that makes good belts, you deceived me with your good name and reputation and slipped me some inferior parts. They will be returned to you. PS I will still use the Gates belt but don't buy those cheap parts. Search for Japanese.
