FOLLOW THE SETUP GUIDE BEFORE MAKING ESPRESSO, YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS IF YOU DON'T. I accidentally made an espresso without filling the machine and it wasn't great so I followed the instructions and restarted the machine then refilled as directed and now the machine is a dream come true. love it
