It's been a long time since I've worked with leather seriously and I don't know if they will hold up in the long term. I bought them at the same time as the Tandy starter kit and had the opportunity to compare these tools side-by-side with ZJchao. There weren't any issues with metal splinters, and I can't say there's a huge difference between them. I don't find the size of the tools redundant (slight differences in the tools can make a big difference in the finished product) and really enjoy the unique patterns and patterns created by some of the tools. Despite the terrible weather and living in a remote countryside, the item came quickly along with everything else I ordered. One star removed because I see some inconsistencies when pouring the dyes, which makes me suspicious of how well they will hold up over time. But I think the variety of shapes is worth seeing if I use them more often in the future. Like other reviewers, I will also be using them for clay texturing and specialty paint bases.
