It serves its purpose!

An old and crumbling genuine OEM part in my suburb from 2005 was on the verge of total failure. While not as large as the OEM part, this replacement part performs the same basic function. However, because of its smaller width, it can allow for more swinging (side-to-side) of the muffler assembly. However, I doubt that this difference from the OEM part will lead to other problems. But time will tell, and the price was definitely right!
