ITEM: Autogen Jumper Cable Set 30ft x 1gage (5ft source-power cable & 25ft jumper cable to clamps)As I somewhat ‘warned’ in my video…. this is not your common car-jumper cable. Firstly, this is a 30ft total length, but only when both the battery-side 5ft cable and the 25ft ‘quick-connect-to-clamp-side cable ends are brought together. And as many who’ve reviewed and possibly already used this set know, it’s most typically for private or commercial service vehicle or tow truck applications. My first thought, not being a commercial tow truck driver, I could see this jumper cable set on a ‘personal service vehicle’ if I were a member of an off-road association or car club.The 5ft cable section has ‘battery terminal receivers’ attached, so that you can put those ends directly on a battery’s terminal-bolt; such that you’d permanently connect directly and electrically-securely to the battery. At the other end of that 5ft cable, you have one of the two quick connect/disconnect adapters. That leads to the 25ft cable section. On one end you have the other quick connect/disconnect adapter that mates to the primary power cable, and on the other end you have your ‘parrot clamps’ that connect to the vehicle battery with which you’re servicing.Firstly, I wanted to review this cable set because yes, there have been times when a longer set of jumper cables would have resolved some ‘out of range’ disabled vehicle issues, including mine. Although over a year ago through Walmart, I purchased and keep in my vehicle a 20ft, cable to cable set. While I’d consider the ‘terminal ends’ on the primary 5ft cable to be for permanent or long term temporary ventures, they can be, with a properly stocked tool and hardware set, quickly attached to any battery. And bottom line, this is a THIRTY FOOT RUN of 12vdc power. So any inconvenience in setup is minimalized in the face of making a necessary jump start.In my video I do explain the use of the set and a note on how to make the cable set’s quick connect/disconnect easier to use. All in all, a 5-star item. And I'd guess if it gets you out of a really big jam when you needed super-long jumpers. this would be a 10-star item.
