Review on Lenovo 23.8 Inch Ultra Thin NearEdgeless 66BCKCC2US 1920X1080P Monitor - Tilt, Flicker-Free, Wall Mountable by Jacob Noriega

Revainrating 2 out of 5

❌ Poor image saturation quality, no settings and overpriced: AVOID!

Lenovo L24e-30 23.8 inch Ultra-Thin FHD (1920 x 1080) VA Panel FreeSync 3-sided Nearly Borderless 75Hz 4ms HDMI VGA VESA Mount 66BCKCC2US Black (ASIN: ‎B08Z6HTKFX ) REVIEW did not find any positives with this monitor. The monitor is very disappointing. The Lenovo L24e-30A is a very basic VA panel that runs at 60-75 Hz. Image quality suffers from a lack of saturation, gamma or black level adjustments, and as a result the panel is washed out and lacking in saturation. Thus, the image quality is not satisfactory. The stand is also basic, with no left and right side features and height adjustment. Given that you can get a 24-inch or 27-inch IPS monitor for the same price or a little more, the Lonovo monitor also fell short. Lonovo's offer does not match the picture quality and value for money. I recommend AVOIDING this monitor! In Standard mode, where Custom settings are available, only Color, Brightness, and Contrast settings are available. No black point adjustment. And that's a shame because all VA panels can benefit from a black point or black level adjustment. Without them, a blurry panel is left behind. IMAGE QUALITY Images are washed out without black, gamma or saturation adjustments. I couldn't get black point or saturation with just two settings: contrast and brightness. This is REALLY annoying. I had to go into my computer's graphics card settings to adjust the black point. Images have improved, but not as if the monitor has a dedicated black point adjustment. In my opinion, this is a serious omission. STAND This is a non-adjustable stand. Also, it doesn't have a side-to-side tilting feature. It only has the ability to tilt forward and backward. SAVE You can get a 24 inch IPS panel with the same specs for LESS here at Revain. revenge CONCLUSION This is just a basic, no-frills VA panel with no standout features and no basic image quality settings. Image quality is poor because Lonovo missed the gamma, black point, and saturation adjustments. That is, the panel looks blurry and there is no way to return it using the monitor settings. Skipping these adjustments, especially a simple saturation adjustment or a way to adjust black, is just plain ridiculous. As a result, the Lonovo L24e-30's image quality suffers greatly from this oversight. Finally, it's expensive for a 24-inch VA panel. You can get a 27-inch IPS panel for the same or a little more. You can get a branded 24-inch IPS panel with the same specs for less. Why would anyone want a 24" VA panel with no adjustments when they can have a branded 27" IPS panel with the same or better performance? Overall, this monitor fails in all areas. Recommendation: AVOID
