Review on ๐ŸŽพ Mini BALLPORT Tennis Ball Pick Up Hopper by Tourna by Paul Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A handy portable balloon funnel that's great for the price!

I recently started teaching my son to play tennis and wanted something that could hold an average number of balls, easily fit in my suitcase and isn't heavy. This eliminated most metal ball baskets from my selection almost immediately. The Mini Ballport seemed to fit the bill quite well. Despite some less than positive reviews for Revain, I decided to give it a try anyway, especially as it wasn't overly expensive. After unpacking, the device looked normal. The plastic seems strong enough, but of course it's not high-quality ABS plastic, which is a shame. I'd be happy to pay a little more for something better. The assembly instructions are ridiculously poor. Sure there are step-by-step instructions, but the accompanying image actually makes it more confusing and counter-intuitive as to what you actually need to do. Seriously, ask someone to repeat this! As other reviewers have pointed out, the sides are a little warped and it takes some persuading to line up the screw holes. I managed it alone, but with two people it would have been a lot easier with one person holding the side panels and the other screwing in the screws. I've used it a few times on the course and I have to say it's a great little bunker. The handles fold over and lock into place, transforming it into a stand. The top design has slide bars that snap into a locked position to prevent balls from rolling around in your trunk. The "rolling bar" design on the bottom allows you to pick up balls without bending over. You just throw that thing at the ball and it lands at the bottom of the basket. And the sticks are just close enough to keep the balls from flying off the ground. Fabulous! Note that this only holds about 32-33 balls if you really close it properly. I tried 36 balls and there was no way to close those top columns. However, 32-33 balls are enough to practice serving or feeding children. All in all a very good purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable sized ball basket!
