Using this as a vapor barrier as a return line will not be effective unless you make serious modifications to it. The return line opening is too large and simply pumps all the fuel back into the tank and overloads the carburetor. It doesn't build up enough back pressure. I've heard that some mechanics modified it to make the port smaller, but it was just more efficient to get a new return port fuel pump that worked properly rather than having to tweak the line to make it work.
