Review on ๐ŸŒง๏ธ A-M Aluminum Gutter Guard Sample Pack: 5 inch and 6 inch Width Samples, 7 inch Length, Mill Finish - The Ultimate Gutter Protection Solution by Chris Mania

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No more gutters to clean (hopefully).

Purchased for installation at our home in South Carolina. The item was shipped quickly. I bought a few boxes of aluminum screws for installation. Installation is pretty easy, I made a 45 degree template out of a piece of cardboard to mark and cut the corners. After the first corner, I decided to cut the next few corners, leaving an overlapping tab that I could use to twist the two pieces together to provide more support. The lids fit nicely in my gutters and work well for a couple of spots where my gutters were a little crooked (because I used a ladder to clean them). I was missing about 50 feet of supplies and contacted the seller who was quick to contact me about shipping.I received a separate batch of the additional supplies I needed which were also shipped quickly. Installing these fences created a few new problems that I didn't have before. (I believe these problems occur no matter what gutter guard I would install). When it rains here we usually have torrential downpours, not slow steady downpours. The following were noted and the solutions I used to fix them. 1) Due to heavy rain, the rain slid down the gutter guard and hit the ground in places where there are valleys in my house. To prevent this I made and installed splash guards on the outside of the gutter to divert the water and keep it in the gutter during heavy rain. (I had them in several valleys at home, but this problem occurred in areas where there were no anti-splash screens.) 2) Referring to point 1, I noticed that even after installing anti-splash screens, there was excess water during periods of heavy rain present was diverted into the gutters but exceeds the amount of water that can flow through the drain holes in the gutter guard. To solve this problem, I took an 1/8" drill bit and drilled additional holes in the gutter guard in the fender area. To date, this has solved the overflow problem. I've installed several different types of gutter guards on several different houses, and i think this is the best i have installed so far i have recommended it to my neighbors.
