An essential item for anyone who regularly cuts watermelons. To say that this is a vast improvement over a carving knife would be an understatement. If you practice this concept for a few minutes, you should be able to slice a whole watermelon into edible pieces in about a minute, leaving only two halves of the rind filled with ALL the juices. NO puddles of drunk watermelon juice and piles of peels. You can either slice sideways for larger slices, or you can slice those slices across while they're still in the skin, giving you food-sized diced strips that you can eat with your hands. The only criticism is the lack of instructions. Pretty basic yes, but needs a few more method mentions. Check out the picture on the box to see how well they held up these discs. great product
