Review on 12 FT Battery Tender Extension Cable: Convenient Power Extension for Your Battery Charger by Chris Kidd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great Extension Cord for Tools and Equipment

This quick connect extension cord works with my existing battery tender to keep the battery charged in my extra truck. Since I keep my truck in the driveway, I didn't want to keep my battery tender outside or under the hood. I also didn't want to run a 120 volt extension cord outside where it could get wet and shock someone. Now, with this long cord, I can wall mount the Battery Tender in the garage and plug a 25 foot 12v extension cord outside into the car if needed. Of course, before connecting and installing, read the safety manuals relevant to your intended use. As an added bonus against unintended consequences, I can see the status LEDs on the battery tender from the garage. The cable is durable: the connectors are well attached to the cable, the insulation is thick, and one end of the cable comes with a plastic cover that snaps onto the electrical connector to keep it clean and minimize exposure to the elements when it's not connected to the vehicle. SOLAR USERS: This cable is a 16 gauge. Most core to capacitance ratio charts recommend no more than 3.7A for this size conductor; Before connecting, check the power and short-circuit strength of the solar panels/modules.
