A high flame when lit first, then went out. I lit it again, the flame jumped for about 30 seconds, then stabilized and burned constantly. This is what I chose to try and keep going until I can get the wooden wick brand I usually use and I will actually be reordering. They don't break but are the perfect size for what I need. When my candle is burning, I can smell the candle. I've seen some mixed reviews, make sure you let your candle dry for a week before lighting. Keep in mind that these are not branded wooden wicks, but they work! I have yet to make the next size candle I ordered so I can review it. Trim the wicks to half an inch.
