PROS:* Affordable* Two USB ports* Screen* 12V & 24V* Supports multiple battery types* Highly customizable* D2D Dusk Till Dawn (an unexpected feature which I like a lot) CONS : * PWM pulse width modulation, not MPPT * Connectors are a bit small (it fits 10 gauge wire, but barely). This is a PWM controller, but for the money you save by buying this controller instead of an expensive MPPT controller, you can buy an additional 100W solar panel. For example, a Renology 20 amp MPPT controller costs about $100. My last 100 watt panel cost me $108 shipping. A more expensive MPPT controller may be a better choice if space is extremely limited is and you have to squeeze out every watt. For the rest, it's a pretty good choice. Display: It's not the best screen in the world and I wish it had a backlight, but my eyesight is terrible and I can still see it very well. If you install it in a dark place, bring a flash of light. The default screen shows battery voltage, battery level and whether the battery is charging. The buttons scroll through other information such as charge current, load current, controller temperature, and advanced settings. USB ports: It's convenient. I have charged my phone several times through these ports. They are rated to deliver 3 amps together. You won't charge quickly with these ports, but they work well. 12V/24V: I won't go crazy explaining this, but 24V might be better with long cables. I use 12V with short runs for convenience. This controller will also work. If you need 48V, they make a controller that does that too. Supports multiple battery types: I use lead-acid, but you can also use lithium-ion and LIFePO4 (lithium-iron). For mobile use, Li-Ion and LIFePO4 can save weight! I won't go into every setting here, but you can toggle things like shutdown voltage, charge voltage, low voltage reconnect, and short circuit protection on and off. D2D Dusk Till Dawn: I wasn't expecting this feature. This allows the controller to automatically turn on the light once the sun goes down. If you want to adjust the ambient lighting, this feature works great. I have used this feature for solar night lights that really work. This would be great for illuminating a cabin, secluded barn, or long driveway. I was about to deduct a star because the manual didn't provide details on some of the additional features, but when I contacted the company they were quick to respond with an updated copy of the manual. The updated version explained some features that I didn't understand before.
