I have a 2016 Alpina B6 and was planning to replace the existing BMW badges on the hood and trunk with these Alpina badges, of which I knew I could only use the largest badge and anticipated buying a second set as soon as I saw it. Unfortunately the existing front and rear BMW badges (same part number) are attached to the car with double sided tape and have two small holes on the back to accommodate two mounting locations. / Alignment Pins. This (largest) plaque has two pins, so they need to be cut off. After that I need to drill two mounting holes in the back of the badge and buy double sided tape. These dimensions have to be very precise, and so on. It's too problematic to risk messing up and buying new BMW badges (about $75 each).
