Have 5 Arduino Nano. Funny how each one was sealed in an ESD bag. Inside the case, the Nano has been sealed with non-conductive white foam to protect the pens. The funny thing is, if the Nano is really sensitive to ESD, a good option is to stick it in non-conductive foam. Fortunately, these devices can be treated with no more than moderate care. All five devices turned on and started the preset blinking routine. I installed each Nano in a circuit that uses SPI and PWM capabilities and successfully downloaded and ran the appropriate sketch. The only criticism is the pre-soldered connectors. Of the five devices, two had one of the long rows of pins at a noticeable, if slight, angle (not perpendicular to the board). As a result, they could not be easily mounted on either breadboards or breadboards. I carefully bent the pins a bit, and then I was able to plug them into the breadboard for testing. I bought them pre-soldered because I was too lazy. Considering how easy it is to solder connectors (and hold them vertical), I'm not sure I've made any headway. The soldering at the connectors is at least decent, and it seems likely that all pins are connected (my circuit only used a little over half the pins). Update 28 June 2018: These devices use CH341, which is different from the original Nano's UART. On Windows, if the system does not automatically install the driver, you may need to download and install it yourself. Also, a new bootloader for Nano appeared in early 2018; You are using the old bootloader, so you need to select "Board: Arduino Nano" and "Processor: Atmega 328P (old bootloader)" before uploading the code.
