Review on Battery Welding Automatic Trigger Industrial by Trevor Garrett

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Instructions are not included.

The design looks solid. The main body appears to be 3D printed. Good copper contacts. I would have rated it higher but there was nothing in the box telling me how to hook up the spot welder. I can assume that a battery of unknown voltage (4-12V?) is connected above. Recommended minimum wire gauge? I have no idea. The big mystery is the included cable and connector. What is the voltage and what is the polarity of the plug? Is the middle wire positive or negative or is it connected to the little switch at the bottom? It's a shame that I have to reinvent the wheel of communication.

Pros
  • ADVANTAGES: With eccentric welding pins it is possible to weld very narrow nickel sheets, keeping both welding pins perpendicular to the nickel sheet, which increases the contact current. The spot welding pen comes standard with a pair of Japanese concentric ball point needles that work well.
Cons
  • Little things
