I attached them to the bottom corners of a heavy flat bed. They must be leveled before they come in contact with the wood as they stick quickly and can only be moved by pulling on them. There is a wide range of sizes and a piece that you can cut to the exact size you want. I can't confirm how well they hold up because I've just put them on - but I will use them on other pieces of furniture - I'm pretty sure they will hold up on chairs, cocktail tables - light to medium sized items.
