Review on 🖌️ 2-Piece Gold Plaid Taklon Flat Brush Set, 2/Pkg by Linda Diaz

I love these brushes! I paint with chalk, recycle furniture and am always looking for brushes that fit all sizes of furniture. Some of them are too hard, others lose their bristles while painting, and I have refused to buy expensive brushes from chalk paint companies that charge $25 or more for their brushes! I mean, what's the point of recycling an old, worn-out piece of furniture that someone wanted to throw away and you fix it and repaint it with expensive paintbrushes? That goes against everything to do with recycling in my opinion! So I've always tried to look for good brushes that don't cost a lot of money. Due to the very low price, I took the risk and ordered two packs. I was excited to try them, so I switched out the brushes I was working with on the cabinet I'm painting on and gave these a try. I really love how the paint just flows over the wood with these brushes! The bristles are thick and soft so they can hold a lot of paint so you don't have to keep going back and dipping them in paint! They leave no brush marks, which is very important when painting furniture! Even with the first use, the bristles do not fall off! I just love them because they can work with larger items like an end table or a coffee table and then look amazing on a jewelry box, which I paint often too! They're even more substantial than they look in the box here. They fit perfectly in the hand, the handle is the right length, not too long and not too short, just perfect in my humble opinion, but I've been recycling furniture for ten years, so I know! 😂🤣 The only reason I gave three stars is that they take a little longer to clean because they are so thick and absorb so much paint! When I'm working on a project, I usually use more than one brush. So instead of letting them dry for a while without using them, I put them in a zipped bag and that way they don't harden you. At the end of the day, when I'm done with what I'm painting or just doing for the day, I clean my brushes. I pour warm water on and put Dawn dish soap on the brush, rub it in a little and start washing under warm water. I've noticed that I usually have to do this a second time with these brushes, but I'm not complaining, just reporting my experience with them. I have no experience with that at all! You can usually tell if a particular brush is giving you trouble by getting a new brush, taking your fingers, and pulling the bristles back with your fingers a few times before using them. This usually removes any loose bristles that were never attached, but after a few uses I've had no problems! Low price like this! I needed more detail brushes and had to use a different brand because FolkArt's thinner brushes are significantly more expensive! I don't know why that is, but at least these will be my brushes for the main image of my projects! Sorry this review is so long, I just wanted to explain in detail how well these brushes serve my purpose. !I don't know about painting on canvas with acrylics or watercolors, but if you are a chalk painter or an artisan who uses colors in his work, these brushes will suit your needs!I highly recommend it for this purpose and will be back for more if i need them!
