This turned out to be a very inexpensive (and high quality) repair to my broken front air vent. It was difficult when there was absolutely no written or video instructions from the manufacturer. I got some tips on YouTube from similar cars that really helped. Halfway through I regretted not having purchased a full OEM unit but I managed to get the job done without damaging anything. Photo 1 shows the clearance between the OEM air vent and the dash panel, Photo 2 shows a little more room at the new air vent. There's an imperfect edge at the top, but I don't think the pickiest person will notice (unless you're flaunting the car!)
