Fitted to my 2013 BMW 528I XDrive after the phone mount ruined the original air vents. Delivery was quick and installation was easy. Level 2 for masters. There are plenty of videos on YouTube on how to remove the panel to gain access, but basically you just gently pull when it snaps into place. A T-20 Torx and a small standard screwdriver were required to help install the fin guide.

This part fits my 2013 BMW 535i perfectly. IMHO better than the original. BMW has dropped the price of many interior parts. The horizontal ventilation slats feel a bit thicker and stronger. The color matches perfectly, and there's no other black finish close enough to compare. Easy enough to install and not that hard to remove the old one to install (video online). I recommend that you buy at least 2 nylon trim tools or buy a pack so you don't damage the wood paneling.

When installing this item, be aware that the screw holes that attach it to the top of the fairing will also snap into place. If you don't snap them in properly, they'll push the vent down and you'll end up with a gap at the top of the vent, as pointed out by some other reviewers. These are examples of improper installation of parts. Awkward fit, looks brand new and I expect it to last as they fixed more than one bug inherent in the OEM part.

I liked that there were many DIY videos on YouTube by individuals on how to replace original parts with more durable ones. Doing business and showing defects in original parts that the consumer actually sees says a lot about the current quality of BMW. The details were excellent value for money. They also appeared to be made of harder plastic. Replaced front and rear center console. The original parts were defective as stated by this seller.

It's actually easier to mount the whole piece it snaps onto, it's sort of a bezel for the vents. But don't be afraid to replace it. I have BMW experience and it took 45 minutes from start to finish. BE CAREFUL with the ribs in the vents. You'll be like Eddie on "Christmas Break" with a wooden machine when your fins break. But you can bring them back if that happens. The part fitted perfectly. The instructions were in Chinese but I just watched the YouTube video. I'm not handy but it was pretty easy to do. Gently pull out the thin instrument panel, disconnect 3 wires and unscrew 9 screws. The only tricky part was attaching the clip to the vents that allows you to move the vents left and right. I love this product! Direct 15 minutes to and from. We break off the bezel from the dashboard, disconnect the connectors three times, put the overlay on the workbench on a towel and unscrew the nine Torx 9-20 screws. Then detach the grille from the duct housing. The tricky part is putting it together and making sure the side vents work by getting the clip properly positioned behind each side of the vent.
