My wife has been trying to install a phone holder clip into her vents. He held her until she hit a bump that pushed the phone away and burst the vent louvers. I was a little nervous about the installation but I found some videos on youtube on how to install this particular part. My only advice when removing the old one is to be very careful with the clips holding the hazard switch in place. Over the years they become brittle and must be carefully removed. You will complete the removal of the entire front fairing with the air vent still attached. All you need is a lever (or a cloth-covered screwdriver) to get started (see video for reference). Took me about 30 minutes to remove, replace and replace them. Once you get the old one out you'll see how much better this one is and won't break.
