Review on Enhanced Lighting Solution: Zoo Med Deluxe Porcelain Clamp Lamp for Reptiles by Robert Espinoza

I bought this for my hedgehog. Hedgehogs prefer temperatures around 70 degrees, which is not always the case with me. I usually use this lamp to raise the temperature a few degrees when I'm concerned I'm not warm enough. It usually stays off in the summer (because the hedgehog is away from my AC and stays quite warm) and even more so in the winter because the heater is across the room from her cage. I've found this lamp to be good for raising the temperature a few degrees, but not by much. It suits my purposes well, so I am very satisfied. The clamp works well, but you can't adjust the bulb to the exact spot - it tends to get heavier and move around a bit as you install it. The lamp on/off button is very simple and easy to use. Luckily the cage is right next to an outlet because the cord isn't that long. My hedgehog is in a wire cage (so it's not a closed glass tank etc.). I understand this means the cell cannot store heat. Perhaps the lamp will heat up more in a closed cage.
