There was an old computer I recently assembled for my grandson from spare parts. It was an old Asus P2B Deluxe motherboard with an Intel CoreDuo processor. Ah, the good old days! Recently the computer failed to send a message and found it was a faulty RAM stick. At that time I had 4 sticks, 2 sticks with 2 GB and 2 sticks with 1 GB, so a total of 6 GB (on Windows 10 Pro x64). Removed both 1GB sticks. Didn't want to settle for 4GB of storage so I went with this one. Plugged it in and the computer immediately booted up. Now I only have 8GB for my grandson to play around with. 8 is definitely better than 4. It's cool that it was PC6400 and 2 sticks were already PC8400. The computer didn't seem to mind since I hadn't changed anything in the BIOS and the computer didn't even blink. So far, so good. I remember looking for memory many moons ago and DDR2 was much more expensive than it is now. I was pleasantly surprised as I didn't want to spend a lot on an already outdated computer. Breathed some life into this old dog.
