Review on LG 34UM88C-P 34 Inch UltraWide 3440X1440P Monitor with Screen Split 2.0, OnScreen Control, Flicker Safe, AMD FreeSync™ Technology by Aaron Bowles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product, even refurbished

A few things to note about the product itself: - If you're considering a 34-inch 21:9 ultra-wide monitor, forget 1080p. 3440x1440 is a must. 1080p might be enough for a 29-inch display. This mockup comes with OnScreen Control utility that allows you to quickly arrange windows. However, the possibilities for organization are currently still quite limited. Among other things, there is left + right, left + middle + right. Not very flexible and customizable. If you have a Thunderbolt cable, the USB ports on the back of the monitor are extensions to your Mac. Plug your phone into it and you can charge it and access its content from your computer. The product supports Picture-by-Picture (PbP) to display two images from two separate inputs (from two computers), but does not support combining inputs. For example, you cannot use Thunderbolt and DisplayPort. Be sure to check out his guide online. For a 34-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, I see a need for a curved screen. Seller Experience, Blink: I purchased this monitor from Blink on Revain and it exceeded my expectations. It's hard to believe that this is a refurbished product - the screen is in perfect condition, there are no dead pixels. The screen and its stand work great. The only cosmetic wear I found was the screw holes on the back - obviously the monitor came pre-assembled. Otherwise (which is not a problem for me) everything is fine. Also, Blink's price is about $150 lower than Revain's. The packaging (or outer packaging) of Blink is well done. It was shipped from TN to San Francisco via UPS and nothing was damaged.
