Review on TAJIMA Chalk Box Chalk Rite Snap Line Measuring & Layout Tools by David Urbanski

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best latch line.

I don't know who Tajima is, but I think it's a Japanese company. I can tell you that they build great instruments. This chalk box is the best I have used in this business in 45 years. It's durable, fast rewinding, and easy to refill. Just pay attention to the line thickness. They form a thin line and a thick line. Thin is great for thin shop lines, but breaks too easily with a 50 foot line pull. I just bought 2 more boxes. A blue and a red for this chalk paint. I use Irwins chalk and have had no problems. A thick line works best for rough frames. I'm in Pueblo Colorado and it's always windy here. This line works great in the wind. You don't have to drag it 2 feet, just a few inches and it will highlight the perfect straight line. It's expensive but lasts longer than any other 3-to-1 box.
