Using cornrow LEDs instead of halogens is a balancing act. Although four LED bulbs use about half the energy of halogen bulbs, their lifespan is short. I've tried several different brands sold at Revain and this comment applies to all G9 LED bulbs. A seller advertises the lifespan of their light bulbs as 20,000 hours. It is ridiculous. So you have to balance the cost of four incandescent bulbs with the cost of buying and running four halogen bulbs. Just in dollars and cents it doesn't make sense. But there are other benefits to consider - LED bulbs save energy - a small amount for each household, but a lot of energy for millions of homes. So you decide. Do good and replace expensive light bulbs every few months or use halogen bulbs. Incidentally, this short-life notice does NOT apply to medium-base screw-type LED bulbs. They last a long time and save a lot.
