Review on Kitchen + Home Stove Top Smokeless Grill: Indoor BBQ with Stainless Steel Construction and Double Coated Non Stick Surface by Kathleen Ledoux

I purchased this type of grill at the recommendation of a co-worker for grilling meat indoors. I live in a small apartment and don't have much space to store a large frying pan. I've seen other similar items at Revain but the cheaper ones had reviews saying the nonstick coating came off after use. Figured I'd spend a few bucks more if that meant longevity. I filled the ring with 1/2 cup water per the directions and oiled the nonstick coating as another reviewer suggested for easier cleaning. The meat turned out wonderful. One reviewer said you need to preheat for a while as it's 2-3 inches from the flame, but mine started smoking after a few minutes. I think you need to know your burn to measure preheat. My gas range is so hot that I can usually only turn it on 3/4 for "high" heat when cooking or it will damage my non-stick pans. I turned it all the way up to make it nice and hot. thinly sliced korean grilled meat (bulgoji) and the meat came out juicy with crispy caramelized edges, took about 5 minutes for the first batch, less for the next batch. The grill was already too hot and starting to burn, so I had to turn it off. Yes, there is some smoke since you are grilling meat, like meat when you are grilling it. Yes, there will be some smoke. splashes, because that's what meat does when it's roasting. It was very easy to clean the grill's non-stick top layer and aluminum ring. Just quickly rub my sponge soap. The bottom, on the other side of the non-stick side of the grill, is trickier. I ran my fingernail over the soapy sponge and was able to get most of it off. Can't wait to try the barbecue, burgers and steak. Since this was only my first use, I have yet to test the durability. But right now I am. Love. This. Grill.
