I am an old Coros customer who bought a first edition watch and used it for all my outdoor activities including hiking /riding biking/running, etc. The pace model has worked well for me, but when I get crazy with my activities, I realize that 12 hours of continuous time tracking isn't enough for me since I've been doing long hikes, like e.g. B. Hiking in a half-dome, skiing mountaineering in Shasta or MT Whitney and mountaineering on Mount Rainier. They have tracking every 12-20 hours. In addition, the hash environment requires a harder battery and watch (resistance to low temperatures and scratches, stone impact), and all these features have been implemented in the new Vertix model. and even better. The battery life can reach 60 hours. In actual use, after 1.5 hours of tracking per day combined with normal daily use for a full week, the watch only lost 12 percent of its battery. It also received a route navigation feature. (Function to use saved tracks for navigation) which is very helpful when you are descending a hill or hiking on an uphill route and don't want to stop to take out your phone/GPS to check the route. The build also pairs well with the metal construction and softer strap, making it a no-brainer for everyday wear. Despite all the advantages, there are some disadvantages. One thing is that the price is a bit higher than most expected, which means it might not be the case. for everyone, maybe only for professionals or crazy people. Secondly, no map is displayed during navigation, only tracks, and sometimes the pointer in the watch shakes a little due to the handshake when running. But overall it's a good choice, if you expect a long battery life, an accurate watch with a good finish then this would be a good choice.
