I've washed it in the dishwasher several times and it's fine. We highly recommend it
"Our" movie is The Princess Bride so I bought it for my husband for Christmas. He's excited about this (after he's finished laughing). We'll have to keep an eye on it - many have warned us it could go away if we're not careful! The mug holds the volume of a Keurig mug, even with cream. I've washed it in the dishwasher several times and it's fine. We strongly recommend it!
