Works best for me in the kitchen and dining room

Bought this lame despite mixed reviews. Although I'm glad I bought it. This works great for me. Although I use a very moist Artisan Bread for Five Minutes a Day recipe, I have had no problems with loaves scoring and have had no bad experiences with dough creases. Use a light but firm grip, and then don't hesitate. . Also, I've had the best luck holding the handle closer to the surface of the loaf to minimize the cutting angle. When I held the handle higher and used a greater angle, the sharpened angle of the blade just ripped through the dough. Using more blades did an excellent job of cutting the dough to score the loaf. Remember that when a blade becomes dull, you have four cutting surfaces. Use the top and/or bottom edge until blunt, then remove the blade and flip it over to use the edges closer to the handle. Also remember to wash and DRY the blade after each use. Drying your razor blade will extend its life.
